These Honey Sriracha Ground Turkey Meatballs are the best meatballs I have ever had. The best part is, I don't feel guilty eating them because they are made with ground turkey.
We are huge fans of these Honey Sriracha Ground Turkey Meatballs. They are quick to throw together and have the best flavor.
I typically just buy meatballs from the frozen section of the grocery store, but I have recently learned how easy it is to make your own from scratch.
The sauce that goes on top of these meatballs is incredible and the entire recipe comes together in a short amount of time, which makes these Honey Sriracha Ground Turkey Meatballs, a perfect weeknight meal.
If you don’t want to make your own meatballs, you could totally get a bag of ground turkey meatballs at the store and then mix up this sauce to put on top!

How to make Honey Sriracha Ground Turkey Meatballs
Step 1:Preheat oven to 375 degrees.
Step 2: Lightly spray a large baking sheet with non-stick cooking spray and set aside. I used an olive oil based, non-stick cooking spray. You could also use a butter based spray.
Step 3: Next, in a large bowl, mix together all ingredients for the Honey Sriracha Ground Turkey Meatballs. This includes the ground turkey, whole wheat breadcrumbs, eggs, onion, garlic powder, garlic powder, salt, black pepper, and red pepper.
Mix until thoroughly combined.
Sometimes, I find it easiest to use my hands to combine everything.
Step 4: Shape into balls that are about 1 1/2 inches in size (should make about 35-40 meatballs). Set each meatball on the prepared baking sheet.
Cook for 20-25 minutes or until meat is cooked through.
Step 5: While the Honey Sriracha Ground Turkey Meatballs are cooking, combine all the ingredients for the sauce in a small pan.
Step 6: Next, bring to a boil over medium heat while mixing sauce continuously, then reduce heat to low and let it simmer for 3-5 minutes (or until it has thickened up).
Step 7: Remove meatballs from oven and pour the liquid over the top. If desired, sprinkle with green onions and sesame seeds.
Lastly, we like to serve our meatballs with cooked quinoa, cooked rice, mashed potatoes, or vegetables.
However, they are delicious as is! You don’t need to serve them over anything if you choose not to. These also are delicious and are perfect as a finger food for any party or tailgate (we love these for the Super Bowl).

Could I make these with ground beef?
You most definitely could make these Honey Sriracha Ground Turkey Meatballs recipe, with ground beef.
The recipe wouldn’t have to change one bit. I would check the meatballs when cooking, just to make sure they don’t overcook.
However, with my experience with beef, it tends to cook a little faster because of the fat, so be sure to check on your meatballs if you use beef, and maybe cut into one when cooking.

Tabitha @ Tabitha Talks Food says:
these meatballs look sooo good! I will have to try them.
-
Lisa N. says:
Think this would work just as well if I mixed the sauce ingredients and threw it on top of the meatballs in the crockpot? That's usually how I make all my meatballs, just this sauce is a little different.
-
Cyd says:
These meatballs are homemade and baked in the oven before any of the sauce is poured over the top.
-
Ashley says:
I don’t have any sesame oil. Is there something you can use in its place or would it be ok to omit it?
-
Cyd says:
You will be fine to omit it. The flavor should still be great.
-
Kaitlyn says:
What if I’m having trouble getting the sauce to thicken?
-
Cyd says:
You can always add just a little cornstarch or flour/water mixture to thicken up the sauce to your desired thickness.
-
Carla says:
This looks delicious. One question though? Is it spicy? Im hoping to make it tonight and my kids be able to eat it too.
-
Momma Cyd says:
It's not that spicy. Our kids love it.
-
Amy says:
What could i use in place of rice vinegar?
-
Momma Cyd says:
The best substitute for rice vinegar is apple cider vinegar: It's mild, with a faint apple flavor that won't overpower.
-
Malissajo says:
The family loved it! I served it with steamed veggies and served on rice. I used 1/2 the amount of sriracha to make it more kid friendly and they still thought it was a little spicy. But gobbled it all up! I also had one of our 6 year olds help make and they had fun "making dinner". :)
-
Alexis says:
I have a question, The nutrition chart.. How many meatballs does that account for?
-
Momma Cyd says:
It serves about 8, and if you get about 40 meatballs, then the nutrition would be for 5 meatballs.
-
Elizabeth Johnsen says:
This is a fantastic dinner and is easy to make. I serve with coconut ginger rice and a steamed green vegetable. There are almost never leftovers, even though I always want there to be!
